Just a quick scribble for my Dad...(he's actually not in this picture but is it something he witnessed!)

This project hasn't died yet, it's just taken a backseat for a while! Here's a new WIP, I'll be getting back on to this as soon as projects die down at work.
Enjoy!

Okay.....This is just a roughish layout so far. This is not smoothed as I still need to go in and add some more detail to the planks so they aren't so square and currently there are no edge loops on them. Still a few more details and props I want to add in to this as well. Also the tree is in need of some serious "twigging" to fill out the branches a little more...it looks a little burnt out and dead at the moment!

Sometimes I have the urge to pick up a pencil and scribble and a few months ago I drew this tree house. Most...in fact, all of my models up to now how been of "things", stuff that live on a black background and don't even try to tell a story but instead just exist in a boring void. I wanted to attempt to make a model that on its own could tell a story. So, most of my evenings over the past couple of months have been spent going about creating a model from this image. This is also giving me the opportunity to be a little bit more creative and work a little more stylized compared to what I spend my days at work doing. This little project is also going to force me to use Z-Brush, which played a key role in choosing to make this.

New work on the way!!

Sooooo, been a bit quiet on the blog front, this is mainly due to work being extremely busy and stealing all my time! I have now managed to find some time and have started a little project, which I think is going to turn out to be a big project...we'll see! Enjoy this little teaser in the mean time....

More to come soon!

I need to get on with learning Z-Brush but wanted a solid base mesh to work on first of all. So I modelled Hugh Laurie over the weekend with the intention of working in the finer details in Z-brush possibly this weekend...although I have never used it before so getting it done over the weekend is probably a touch optimistic! Will be nice to get some texture on him though, it's a bit of a 1980's Hugh at the moment.

I started this DB5 last year but didn't get very far, then I opened it up again last month...and decided to start over! I've been doing this for the odd evening and weekend for about a month now, still a few details need adding and an interior to come at some point. I have a few more plans for this car at a later point in time, but for now it can rest.
